Miller Blood Introduces GE to Liberty Property League Volleyball!
The opening week of Liberty Property Trust's 2007 Volleyball season ended with legendary Miller-Keystone Blood sweeping expansion team General Electric 15-8, 15-2 and 15-7 on Court 1. Miller veterans and team leaders Tae Kim and Rami Nemeh led the experienced club to victory. GE brought 11 new players including the newly acquired Birgit Mundy. Mundy was dealt to GE for future considerations. The former CIGNA player is a league veteran and will help the expansion GE get acclimated to the league as the season rolls on. GE team Captain Julie Ann Katz has an enthusiastic attitude and has been training her club through the fall and winter leagues, so don't take them lightly.
On Court 2, CIGNA, behind new coach Colleen McGinnis, pulled off a sweep of their own over Aesculap 15-2, 15-8 and 15-4. CIGNA, blessed with strong female players, posted their first win of the season. Tradionally in the league, teams with less then 3 males on the court struggled. CIGNA beat those odds Thursday night
